I am thrilled to learn that ServSafe is offering their Food Handler certification online and totally free right now but TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!! If your teen’s summer job involves working with food in any way- do this now!
ServSafe Food Handler is a real credential! In fact, it’s the most popular sanitation credential obtained by food service workers in the country. Authored by the National Restaurant Association, they are considered the gold standard for workers.
NOTE: If your teen is on track to become a chef or baker, this “Food Handler” credential is one level lower than the level they’ll eventually earn in culinary school, but in the meantime, be sure they pick this up and add it to their job application ASAP!
WHAT: Now through April 30, ServSafe Food Handler is Free for individuals. This offer includes both online training and assessment. Limit 1 per person (Excludes Ohio)
YES- you can do the whole program in 1 day (class & test)
If your teen is considering one of these summer jobs, they’ll benefit from getting this credential:

I think we’ve crashed the site – we haven’t been able to get on in over an hour. Be patient- they’ve extended this another month, so I think we’ll be ok.
