Scholarships for High School Graduates

Do you have an older teen already enrolled in college?  These scholarships are open to prospective college students and current college students. Your teen can apply for scholarships until the day they graduate college!  Thanks to JLV’s amazing scholarship site for this list.

Local Conservation Scholarship and Essay Contest
Sponsor: Steve Duckett, Attorney at Law
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who can demonstrate a commitment to environmental conservation using past and present volunteer, professional, and educational experiences. Applicant must submit a personal statement explaining their dedication to local conservation.

National Poetry Competition
Sponsor: The Poetry Society
Amount: Up to £5000
Closing Date: October 31, 2020
Description: Competition is open to anyone aged 17 or over at the time of entering. International entries are welcome. Applicant must submit a previously unpublished single poem.

Future Designer Scholarship

Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: November 1, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. residents who are 17 years of age or older and who are enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution. Applicant must submit an original artwork or photograph for use on a greeting card.

Stevens & McMillan Education Scholarship

Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: November 15, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited college in the United States. Applicant must submit an essay on any law or connected group of laws regarding at least one of the following topics: wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or leave of absence violations.

Out to Protect Scholarship

Amount: Up to $1,000
Closing Date: November 20, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in a basic law enforcement training program in the United States who identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transgender.

Chiropractic Scholarship

Amount: $500
Closing Date: April 16, 2021
Description: Scholarship is open to current and prospective students enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S> university who are pursuing an education in the medical field (nursing, medical science, surgery, chiropractic, etc.) Applicant must submit a person essay that includes why they want a medical career.
