Making Inroads

I’m thrilled to share with you that I’ve added a new opportunity to my docket. I’m in the process of serving an Executive in Residence at Franklin University (Ohio). My time spent with them will create new pathways and innovative opportunities for homeschooled students to transition into degree programs with college credit earned in high school.

My professional work inside the system inspired me to launch Homeschooling for College Credit  outside the system. As such, I maintain an ethical wall between this organization and my professional working relationships with colleges and universities, so it’s important to me that I always disclose these types of relationships.

I hope this is the first of many opportunities with other universities that are as forward-thinking as Franklin. This is my first role with a university that serves to intentionally promote homeschooling! You can read more in their press release:

Funny side note: the Provost of Franklin University, Dr. Christopher Washington, bought and assigned Homeschooling for College Credit for his administration. Needless to say, Chapter 3 (I’m not kind to the business of higher ed) had me cringing at our introductory meeting. <wink>
