BREAKING NEWS: Get 2 free dual enrollment courses this summer!

THIS SUMMER Husson University in Maine (yes, regionally accredited) allows eligible high school juniors and seniors to take 2 free online courses. These are for college credit and should transfer into your target college in the future. You can take a max of 21 credits before you graduate high school! ANY STATE except California. Details below.

Husson University allows teens to take 2 free dual enrollment courses EVERY semester up to a maximum of 21 credits total (about 7 classes).

Their summer session consists mainly of shorter 7-week sessions, and they aren’t especially eager to allow high school students to take the shorter sessions without having first taken a full semester course. If your teen HAS taken a college course before, you may be asked to provide a transcript to demonstrate their ability to handle college-level courses. (During regular full semester sessions this is not the case)

Thank you for your interest in Husson University’s Early College Access Program. Husson University’s Early College Access Program (ECAP) is open to all high school juniors and seniors who have met the following requirements

  • Be a current high school junior or senior within the United States **
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 80 or equivalent. (this is the same as 3.0 GPA)

ECAP Students may enroll in up to two classes a semester and take a maximum of twenty-one credits tuition free, students are only responsible for the cost of textbooks or course materials. Eligible students will be registered for course(s) on a space-available basis after full-time Husson students have registered for the given semester.

The university reserves the right to cancel any course due to low enrollment. 

ECAP students are not eligible to take course during the winter session. 

With the safety of all students in mind, ECAP offerings for Spring 2021 semesters will be online courses only.   

To enroll in Husson University’s ECAP program students are required to complete the ECAP application which is attached to this email.  (see below)

ECAP students will be responsible for:
* Purchasing the textbook(s) used in each course.

* Complying with Husson University academic and student life policies.

* Submit immunization records prior to the start of classes.

* Transportation to and from class.

**Residents of California are not eligible to participate.
