CLEP World Languages

LOTS of college credit from 1 short exam.

CLEP Exams for Languages

When you take a language exam through CLEP, you take 1 exam. Your score determines your level of proficiency and the suggested credit award. In other words, when you take the French Language exam, if you score between 50-58 points you’ll receive 6 college credits. If you score 59 or higher, you’ll receive 9 college credits.

There are some colleges that use their own score numbers and different, sometimes it is actually MORE than on the recommendation chart. My local community college, for example, awards 12 college credits for Level 2 Proficiency!
