Each of you is at a different place in your Homeschooling for College Credit journey. To help target our resources and advice, you’ll notice some new post and class categories this year! Content will now focus on 3 key and distinct areas, each serving you in a very special way.

HELP ME START posts are for those of you new to Homeschooling for College Credit. If your teen hasn’t earned any college credit, or has just a few credits, these posts are for you!
START posts will help you learn the basics, and give you “big picture” tools so you can begin immediately and start your program. Homeschooling for College Credit teaches parents in this category how and why bringing college credit into their homeschool makes sense. The key skills parents develop in this stage are to learn the types of college credit available, understand how to compare the types of credit, use the “language” of college jargon, and to know how to find answers to their questions. Teens in this category begin earning their first 9 college credits!

HELP ME GROW posts are for those of you actively Homeschooling for College Credit but not yet in the last year of high school.
GROW posts will dive into the nuances of earning college credit and how it will serve your teen as part of their high school program. Homeschooling for College Credit teaches parents in this category how to replace some or all high school subjects with those that result in college credit. The key skills parents develop in this stage are to ensure high school requirements are being met, properly document high school and college credits on a high school transcript, manage college credit records, and consider how their teen’s college credit can be used after high school. Teens in this category have earned many college credits but are still in high school.

HELP ME FINISH posts are for those of you in your final year of Homeschooling for College Credit.
FINISH posts are focused around your homeschool exit strategy, homeschool graduation, and post-high school activities. Homeschooling for College Credit teaches parents in this category how to apply for college and financial aid, anticipate how their teen’s credits will be evaluated, calculate college costs, and make informed comparisons between any number of college options. Teens in this category have earned many college credits and are planning to graduate from high school.
